The fish and fish scale pattern of floorboard inserts are made by etching method like Brass Tank Dash Cover for FXR and the pattern is not bilaterally symmetric.

The picture above shows the floorboard insert putting on Harley-Davidson FXRD . Off course, these inserts can be used on other Harley-Davidson like Shovelhead FLH, Evolution FLT, FLHTC and so on.

Designing Brass Footboard Inserts begins

Now I started designing footboard inserts (floorboard inserts) used until 1990 Harley-Davidsons.

They are equivalent to Harley-Davidson genuine parts No.50614-66.

Not only Harley-Davidson FL models but also some FXR models like FXRD and FXRP have footboards.

I’m planning on using 1.0mm thickness brass plate as a material which is same material of brass fish scale tank dash cover for FXR.

Although the part of their design follows FXR fish scale tank dash cover, I contrive ways not to make someone feel of strangeness.
